Career-linked Education & Guidance (CEG)
Career-linked education is the process of acquiring knowledge, skills, and competencies through formal and informal learning experiences that prepare individuals for a successful career in their chosen field. It consists of a range of activities designed to help individuals make informed decisions about their future careers which includes career guidance, career counselling, and work-related learning.
Margdarshak strives to create a stronger society in which people can realise their potential. A, that is accessible to everyone, is at the heart of our focus. Our career-linked education and guidance (CEG) system support everyone from all backgrounds, whatever their age, to go as far as their talents will take them and have a rewarding career. Our CEG provision helps people understand the range of opportunities available to them in today’s economy and acquire the skills and qualifications they need to succeed in the workplaces of the future.
CEG has not been given the status it deserves. This strategy sets out our ambitions and plans to expand the quality and quantity of provision so that everyone can benefit from the support of the highest calibre.
Our modern Industrial Strategy is about building a Britain fit for the future by investing in the development of skills to meet the changing needs of business, increase productivity. and drive growth across the whole country.
High-quality CEG support will make sure people have access to high-quality labour market information and earnings data to underpin their choices.
Raising the quality of CEG provision requires a truly national effort, working closely with career professionals, schools, colleges, universities, employers and others in the sector.
This CEG strategy is part of Margdarshak’s plan to boost national productivity and the earning power of people throughout the country.
CEG is a move towards a culture of having the right advice, in the right place, at the right time.
